This is very cultural. In my culture it is completely okay to kiss on the lips. I am 25 and my mom kisses me on the lips goodbye, there is nothing weird about that

My ex would kiss her uncle who was like her dad on the lips, as a 21 year old and it was a crazy turn off when I first saw it. I made a face and she saw me, never did it again but he was like 60 and hed go in for it a while after she stopped until he got the point. Her real father passee when she was little

Only the closest family gets mouth kisses. I kiss my mama because we share everything. I came out of her. Shes my favorite person and i trust her. Hugs are most common though. Cuddles are also reserved for close family. Me and my stepdad will headbutt, like cats, to show affection. Also yaknow typical family shenanigans. We hockey check each other into walls and elbow each other. Thinking about it is weird but living like that isnt weird if you trust them. My dad would force me to say a goodnight song and hug and kiss him goodnight and goodbye and it made me So uncomfortable. We're no contact now for different reasons. But the crawling in my skin when i was around him and not wanting to even hold his hand should have been my first clue that he wasnt my father anymore

Don't kiss people without consent. Kids who get kissed never consent as this habit is forced on them. Even "la bise" in France, which is on the cheek, is not respecting consent since parents and families would say it's rude not to kiss people hello. It needs to change.

Same logic was used for C-section vs vaginal birth. Turns out the later was actually instrumental in colonizing good bacteria throughout the entire GI tract. Absent an STD, It is now standard practice to swab C-section birthed babies with mom's bacteria. The more we learn, the more we realize how much we don't understand about mother nature.
