This Playmates Enterprise D is from 1994 when "Generations" was released. It featured cool battle damage pieces that flew off!

I had this as a kid, along with the Enterprise-E, the Borg Sphere. Seeing this really reminds me of how the 1990's was the golden era for Star Trek! In the 90's we had Star Trek VI, which concluded The Original Series. TNG had its finale in 1994, DS9 had its entire run, and we also had Voyager, plus the TNG movies Generations (though it was also a passing of the torch film), First Contact, and Insurrection. The franchise has since not achieved the same level of popularity it had back in that decade.

Love this line I love the uniforms from generations that were never seen in the movie

Thank you so much for this video! I remember when "Santa" got this for me for Christmas one year. My parents were horrified when they saw this come out of the box the first time. As my sister put it, 'It looks like someone tossed it on the grill!' I had so much fun with that thing. The actual movie came out the next summer if I'm recalling correctly. I watched the TV commercials so I knew right away what I was getting. TNG was the show I grew up with. I've actually still got the poster that came with it and the shield thing up on my wall!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I still have all my Playmates toys, albeit in storage. They are destined to be displayed one day, or I'll have to sell the majority and keep the ones I can't part with (aka, "the essentials") 😊

I got one around that time 90’s and yes stickers and unboxing was exactly like you showed it - nothing changed

Very cool, always wondered what it looked like out of the box. It was so much fun during the 90's to go around shopping for all of the Playmates Star Trek stuff. I bought everything except a few of the ships.
I do have the "Space Talk" version of the Enterprise D.
The Holy Grail was the TOS ship, they were always sold out instantly.
I finally got it on a trip home to Wisconsin. We had to go to Kmart for something and I thought I'd check out the toy dept and there sat 2 of the TOS Enterprises. Needless to say they both made the trip back to TX with me. I still have everything and need to do some more videos on it.

What is really funny is that this toy(or the previous 1992 verison which this is based off of) was used on the cover of the vhs and laserdisc release of the "All Good Things" episode in 1996 - if you look at the Enterprise, you can clearly see the buttons for the sound on it and it isn't exactly lit up like a standard effects shot. I still have one of these out on display, most of another one in a box.

Wow! BNIB. I admire your courage in unboxing this piece. I had to search online for it. Found a 1992 version for $30 used. It's a Paramount Pictures labelled one so not sure if that is the same.. 👍

I got the battle damaged Enterprise back when it came out. Unfortunately, I had to put it in storage 10 years ago. I forgot the sounds it made. And, yeah, those little red stickers at the end of the phaser arrays was a huge pain in the ass to put on. :)

Thanks for this video. I still have mine on a shelf in the garage, believe it or not. I do remember having to place decals.

This is great! I got this when it came out and I was 10 years old... I don't remember if I had to do the stickers or not but I definitely remember the sound effects for each button. I ended up displaying it on a shelf in my bedroom with the regular series Playmates Enterprise, the transporter playset, the Phoenix from First Contact, and an erector set Enterprise (weird times).

I also had this as a kid. I loved it so much. I played with it constantly, unfortunately I eventually sold it. But I regret it. CaMe with an awesome stand. I’d love to have one again. Definitely one of the better higher quality toys back then. Lots of lights, good sound quality for what it was. Nostalgia. I’m curious as to what it’s worth now. Great video. 👍

On the original ( non battle damage) one already had decals on it. The battle damage one is a new one from the movie star trek generations the original toy was from the show.

I used to have all of these ships back in the day. Right now, this battle damaged one sits on my office desk.

I had all of the ships as well. One thing I did was get a set of water decal printer paper and reprinted all of the decals to put on. Looked so much better than the stock stickers.

I had the "Space Talk" version of this, *no battle damage* and I remember having to put all the stickers on it as well.

I used to have that battle damaged model ship Enterprise D when I was a kid, but lost it about twenty-five years ago.
