In England I dry by weight down to 20% of the original wet weight. Then compress the hops in a 2 inch drain pipe into pugs of about 100 grams each. Wrap in foil and store in freezer. I am still using hops from the 2019 harvest.

I moved my hops. In the fall, and got more hops this spring. All my plants flowered this year. The one from.last year went crazy. I just ordered some stuff. I'm going to brew my first all grain BIAB beer with my own hops! I did the grain bill from the seara Madre kit. I'll probably get a gallon kit so I can see what my hops do. Fun part is I can't remember what I planted where lol

Thank you for bringing back informative videos. Stopped watching for a while because it seemed like all you guys played were commercials for products I had no desire to buy or need for my brewing. Keep it up NB!

Liking these hops videos. Hope to grow some when I have the space. Just ordered 3 Little Big Mouth Bubblers and can't wait for them to get here to get some Mead brewing. Would love to try a hopped Mead.

How about freeze-drying? There household models available, so more and more people have them. I have one...but I don't have a hops plant...yet.

Can homegrown hops be used for culinary purposes, flavouring? Do they have medicinal properties for teas or tinctures?

My bines are 15 ft high and the hops at the highest points look ready to harvest. Does it make sense to pick the high point and leave the lower ones for a while to ripen?

Hello. I'm a 1st year grower. I've read that you should treat the bines differently after harvest, than older ones. What should I do with them? Thanks!

I planted my hops in a bad spot. They are growing fine, but it cuts off a lot of space from one of my beds. I a, going to dig them up this fall and plant them in the back of my other bed. It’s closer to my house and I can get an eyelet up high and run my cordage through it for my bones to grow up.

Nonsense. Just put your dried hops in an old plastic bag, like from your grain, and store them in your garage until you are ready to use them. I have used hops stored 2 years in this manner and they worked fine.
