The good old days of talent first, image second. Would probably never get prime time TV these days. Great song. Great artist.

I love this what a great songwriter
Good Irish musician who you'd recognise his voice the moment he sings what a great artist 💯🇮🇪

Snow-bound siren in the winter dawn
There's a blizzard blowing in from off the river
It's ten below out on these city streets
But the feeling in your heart is even colder

The sunrise screeching down the line
And the fog banks running out of time
But you won't be here when they creep in tomorrow (oh, no)

You're tired of dreaming someone else's dreams
When they really don't include you any longer
Miles from home, you're sliding down with each day
And you need a woman's love to make you stronger

And lately you've been getting doubts
A voice inside keeps calling out
That someone else's dreams don't get you nowhere

So shut the suitcase, kiss the year goodbye
Don't let nobody stop you at the doorway
And close the shutters on this empty room
Where these crazy dreams come crawling to devour you

And head on out across that line
Where she's been waiting all this time
And tell her that you want her there forever

It's still two hours 'til this plane gets down
Can hardly bear to wait another minute

Your sweet loving, babe, is all that I need
Darling it's been building up inside of me
(Can't believe it)

Tonight we'll go and paint this town
We're gonna drink champagne, 'til we both fall down
We'll find some other crazy dream tomorrow
(Oh yeah)
(Hit it)

Many years ago a friend of my, a man called Phil Lynott brought me in to listen to Paul Brady music and to this very day I have not stopped listening to Pauls music since that time, he is a most brilliant singer and songwriter, I love his earlier folk stuff, the Homes of Donegall hits me each time to I hear it. I have also loved Willie and Mink DeVille from the very time I got to her their music and i was very lucky to haven got to see Willie and his Mink DeVille boys playing live in stage several times. I got the greatest shock when watch this video to see Willie Devill paying drums for Paul Brady, that made my day for sure

Unmistakable Paul Brady in his younger days. Wonderful voice, a lot of charisma and he knows well what he's doing and where he's heading. I love this performance, thanks to all who made it happen!

Really good version of "Crazy Dreams" - a reference track for me. Great group behind him. This is him finding his feet as a songwriter - and he stands very high by any standards. up Stabane!!.

Incredible song from a great album. Great backing band. Arty McGlynn (RIP) and Jimmy Faulkner(RIP) on guitars, Fran Breen on drums and not sure who's on keyboards. Paul's singing playing and songwriting in a league of its own. The album Hard Station, which contains this track, is a classic. I remember buying the vinyl, which I still have and it never left the turntable . It was a radical change for Paul but one that brought him international recognition at last with Tina Turner and Bonnie Raitt recording some if his songs. . A treasured talent . Thanks for posting
