Anomaly Detection in your ELK Stack: Zebrium vs Elastic Machine Learning

How does log analysis with ELK stack machine learning using Elastic ML compare to Zebrium ML?

Since we often get this question, we created a video showing the two technologies side-by-side. The goal is to allow a user to use machine learning in their ELK Stack to determine the root cause of a software incident.

For this machine learning demonstration, we shut down the PostgreSQL database that is used by our production Atlassian environment. And sent exactly the same data set to Elastic ML and to Zebrium.

The Zebrium platform produced a report pointing at a single incident that shows details of the root cause.Whereas the native ELK Stack ML produced multiple dashboards that require human interpretation.

Note: no rules or special configuration were used for both Zebrium and Elastic ML.
