The Fastest 80-85 Leveling Route in Cata Classic

Over the past few weeks I’ve completed multiple 80-85 Speedruns in an effort to find the fastest leveling route in Cataclysm Classic. In this video I'll go over my finalized route which should allow you to easily reach Level 85 in 10 Hours or less.

Just to clear up confusion, a lot of the 3-5 hour World Record launch times were using bugged mob hyperspawns. This happens every expac launch, and then it gets nuked by Blizzard. It's not worth discussing and you shouldn't try to replicate it yourself. That being said, even with launch day delays I still managed to get to 85 in 10 hours and 44 minutes, so I'm happy with the consistency of this route.

Cata is when leveling generally became a lot more straight forward, no weird tricks or shenanigans just quest in appropriate zones with maybe some specific points of efficiency. But knowing where those points are is pretty handy.

I went to the water zone and my buddy went Hyjal.. he was 81 when I was 35% in and I was moving decently quick. I'm def doing this guide next time.

Week one has been a blast! Got 85 the morning of day 2 and started heroics! Questing out the zones and maxing all of the reputations minus Tol Barad within a few days.

I entered hyjal at 80 and left at 85 10 hours later with alot of dungeons in-between questing

Reached 85 with my Protpally.
I had a good dungeon group with my guild. Sometimes we went leveling for reputation tabards.
We were a bit slow cause the mates had something to do in RL 😂
After 15 hrs we were done.

Wotlk was a bit harder imo from 70-80 at release.

84-85 feels so bad that I actually quit original cata at 84 with 50% exp. I was grinding out uldum quests and it got to the point that occasionally completing 2 quests wouldnt even give me 1%

7 hours on atiesh. All the realm firsts to 85 were done.

With a solid group, dungeon leveling is more than viable 80-85. We did BRC until 82, Stonecore until 84, and all 85 dungeons once for quests + finished with Tolvir spam minus the 2 last bosses. Roughly 10h30m played total.

I think the underwater zones are easier now then when cataclysm was released because we have had ALOT of experience with flying mounts and vertical environments but unless your a skinnier i agree mount hylja would be best.

Great video! My only issue with the CoC in the highlands is that every time I join a group we just sit around waiting for another group to start their quests. I still haven't been able to do it and I feel as though it wasted a lot of my time just waiting for nothing.

i did 80-85 as rogue solo lvling and i havent done this quests since OG cataclysm did mount hyjal deepholm and twilligt and did all quest in whole zones never touched any thing else and did x2 runs in blackrock and 1 run in stonecore took me 7.5 hours

Hi! I got question, tried googling for answer but no luck so I remember you as leveler maybe know answer.
What makes bonus xp for finishing dungeon in RDF drop from 104k to like 50k? At first I thought it is lvl but on char im leveling now it switched at a bit more then 82 while on char before that it switched at 83 and half.
Would really like to know answer if you can help. Thanks
