I have two ZA3 in mono configuration, upgraded the op amps to Burson Audio V7 Vivid Pro on the balanced inputs. I've connected a Wiim Mini to the Fosi Audio ZD3 Dac and it sounds surprisingly good. For the price, I have nothing negative to say about this combination.

I hope you will measure the gain vs output power as you did for Aiyima 07. Please, do it from max down to -20db or 1w instead of 12db.

The ZA3 front toggle switches are RCA or XLR and Stereo or Mono and the volume knob is push hold on and off.

I was wondering about piggy backing those opamps onto the ones already in there? It does improve if you have two opamps of the same type piggybacked, I'm not sure if its different types piggybacking is going to be beneficial or not could you test it? it be interesting to see what it gives you. The pinouts must be the same I would have thought so shouldn't be a problem? I was wondering when piggy backing the same opamps if you should put a small capacitor on the VCC across the top?
I'm not sure why it sounds better piggybacking the opamps? Is it because it's got less resistance because you're sharing it between two? Do you know the answer that be interesting to see in the tests might show up why it's improved.
