Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time YouTuber with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. Love how you always compare lower priced products to their higher end counterpart and describe what the differences are. I am trying to switch over to only lower priced products because I think drugstore products have improved so much and luxury products are overpriced for the small difference in quality, if any. Thanks for the informative yet concise video, love your style.

I see so many bad reviews on eyeliner pencils & crayons that require manual sharpening because people rant & rave that it's a rip off because the product won't twist up or is impossible to sharpen. If you have a pencil or crayon that is soft & difficult to sharpen-put it in the freezer. Sally's makes an amazing sharpener with adjustable blades & sizes that will sharpen anything. You can also get an inexpensive battery powered or electric pencil sharpener ( I have 3 of these that I use for colored pencils/art pencils & they work amazing on eye/lip liner pencils) If you find your retractable pencils dull/don't keep a point, try using a $2 nail buffing block & use the smoothest surface to gently reform the tip of your pencil. It's much cheaper than a pencil sanding block you buy in an art/drafting supplies store. An emery board can also work in a pinch on harder pencils.

This video is a reminder that sometimes you have to *read* the reviews and not just go by the rankings. There is a lot of user error that can bring down a product ranking.

I love the Sephora Collection Colorful Metal Effect single shadow (color: Shock Choc). Ironically, despite the ranking, they sell out quickly during the sales.

I often find a lot of the negative reviews left on some beauty sites are people that are just salty for some other reason. They are essentially looking for something to complain about, something sets them off and then they take it out on the product....

I love love love the single shadows. Twinkle twinkle is a great dupe for Urban Decays Space Cowboy. I also love the contour, bronzer, highlight trio. I love the matte setting spray too. I like so many of their products tbh.

I just bought a $10 eye pallets yesterday for travel but switched it to my makeup drawer because it’s so nice-soft, blendable and highly pigmented. Sephora’s primer is also a favorite of mine.

I love the Sephora spray foundation. It's a dupe for the Dior airflash. It'd high coverage and lasts all day on the oily skin. Plus it gives a flawless airbrushed look.

I have about 15 Sephora shadows. They're all very good quality except for one that I find to be a bit too dusty and sheer. I also use the eyeliner you reviewed, their brow pencil, powder foundation, and blush. They're all good, and I recommend them all. I need to try the shadow sticks you showed because I love creating a sparkly eye with shadow in the crease since this kind of product won't transfer and muddy the colors. Their mineral powder is also supposed to be good.

The best lipstick I own is in the Sephora Collection Lipstories. I love the shade Oui 03. It’s a creamy satin finish and the shade is a slightly cooler pink nude take on the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk.
