National Autism Trainer Programme – Health and justice settings information session
Показать описание
In November 2023, staff working in Health and justice settings joined an online information session, to learn more about the National Autism Trainer Programme.
Hasan Wazir and Scarlett Milward from NHS England discussed the need for this training, and how it aims to enhance autistic people’s experience of care through its collaborative, experience-sensitive and trauma-informed approach.
The event was chaired by Co-Lead Programme Directors Dr Ruth Moyse from AT-Autism and Dr Georgia Pavlopoulou from Anna Freud, who also took part in the Q&A panel. There was a range of presentations and videos from autistic content developers. Professionals also discussed how the training will help staff to support children and young people in Health and justice settings.
Please note regarding British Sign Language translation of this event: This was a live, simultaneous interpretation and, as such, the BSL interpretation may include errors and omissions that would not be present in a pre-prepared translation.
