active passive with DEQX, English version

A pair of standard Monitor Audio Platinum PL300 and a similar pair,
converted by AudioSense to an actively amplified speaker system
controlled by DEQX, were auditioned at a hifi show at the end of May 2010.

With the active DEQX system in operation, the crossover filter in the loudspeaker cabinet is switched off. The loudspeakers were calibrated with the help of a special microphone after a free-field measurement and numerous listening sessions. All this took a few weeks, and after the audio show, the loudspeakers were converted back to their original state.
