The first set of exercises will be neck isometric exercises. This is when you are activating the muscles, but not actually moving them. Start off with your hand on the side of your head. Push your head into your hand, but try not to let your head move much. Push for 3-5 seconds and do about 5. Switch sides and do the same thing on the other side. Now place your hand on your forehead, and push down like you are bringing your chin to your chest. Push for 3-5 seconds and do about 5. Then place your hand on the back of your head and push like you are going to look up at the ceiling. Push for 3-5 seconds and do about 5.

Now lie down on your back with your knees propped up. With your shoulders relaxed, slowly bring your chin towards your chest, and slowly come back down. Do this 10 times. Then turn over to your side. Put your arm on the ground above your head, so you can place your head on your arm. Life your head up towards the ceiling with your shoulders relaxed. Try to keep your head in a neutral position looking forward. Do 10 of these and then switch sides.

Next you are going to get on all fours in quadruped. Start with your head in a neutral position looking down at the ground, and then slowly lift your head up looking straight ahead. Slowly come back down. Do 10 of these.

The last exercise is going to be shoulder shrugs. Lift your shoulders up towards the ceiling, but try to keep your head and neck in one spot. Don’t bring your ears down towards your shoulders, lift your shoulders up. Do 10 of these.

I had a severe brachial plexus injury, avulsion of at least 1 nerve, when I was in my 20's. My arm was mostly paralyzed for the better part of a year. all of the flexors, the deltoid, part of the trapezius, rotator cuff were all useless on one side. The pain from the nerves healing was intense at times, like a hot knife plunged into my shoulder.

It took a couple of years to recover without surgery, and 25 years later most of the affected mucles are between 70 and 90 percent of what they used to be in terms of strength. I lift weights regularly, and my right arm will get tired well before the left. I performed the exercises in this video and they caused some burning, but not too bad. When suffered in adulthood, these injuries can take a long time to heal. If you are injured, see a doctor right away, then do the PT and keep the joints moving.

You might not see this as the video is so old but I had ridiculous amounts of appointments back and forth to the doctors and physical therapy for the past 2 years, they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me so about 3 months ago I was finally referred to a neurologist which I'm still waiting to see as of now, I have done my own research the entire time as the doctors have been rubbish and it eventually led me to a possibility of a brachial plexus injury, is it possible for it to cause tremors? When I open and close my hands they shake and when I move my head left to right and up/ down there is a clear tremor, I done these exercises and it's the first set of exercises that have actually helped the pain in the whole 2 years so I'm assuming it is actually brachial injury, the main point of this comment is to say thank you for posting this video as I'm actually able to have a near pain free day for once and it feels absolutely amazing haha! But I am confused about the tremor as I don't see any info online about this type of injury causing tremors

Great video. My main question is how soon after an injury should one begin these exercises? I have the compressed c5-c6 type of stinger from wrestling. It is now day 3 of just icing every few hours and taking ibuprofen and my thumb and index finger are still 50% numb. I tried a couple push-ups and have definitely lost strength in my pectoral muscle and down through my arm. I am guessing I can't fully activate those muscles because the discs are pinched or maybe the nerves are swollen, or maybe both.
