From Season 1 of Paramount's hit 80s TV series, "SOLID GOLD", enjoy the wonderful, IRENE CARA, singing her hit, "OUT HERE ON MY OWN”. Solid Gold's musical director and theme composer was me (Michael Miller - "Mickle"), and this performance is from Season 1 - Episode 5 of SOLID GOLD, which aired on Oct. 11, 1980.

"Out Here On My Own" was written by Lesley & Michael Gore for the movie, FAME (the title song having been co-written by Dean Pitchford, who just happens to be the talented lyricist who wrote the lyrics to the theme song for Solid Gold, which I composed).

Irene was introduced for this segment by our host, Dionne Warwick, and co-hosts Peaches & Herb.
