In the manga makima won the first round ripping denjis heart
And keeping it as a pet. then denji revived because of the blood power gave him when she died. Then he killed makima with a chainsaw made out of powers blood so she didn’t revive as fast. Then denji chopped her up and saved and ate her meat. Without the blood power gave him when she died he would have unfortunately lost.
