Very interesting. I would like to ask for a video like this with male versions of different traditional clothings. I got a Yukata from my visit in Japan, but I am highly interested in the clothings you (Shogo-san) were wearing in this video for example.

As an artist, I always end up struggling when trying to draw Kimono or Yukata properly. With your video you show exactly, what the difference is between both of them and I'm absolutely grateful, that you Shogo-san, covered this topic with lovely Tomoko-san and Harumi-san! Thank you so much for your amazing and educational videos! Warm greetings from Germany :)

I really like the yukata worn in kimono style. It's worn like a kimono so it has the beauties and style of it which I think is really pretty as well as the colorful designs of Yukata. It's probably easier to move in too so I could say that would be my "ideal" kimono if I were to wear it one day.
Thank you so much for the video, Shogo.

I went to Japan in 2019 and rented a kimono for a day, I miss it so much. At first I was a bit worried that I would feel a bit uncomfortable wearing it the whole day but it was actually so comfy and warm! I wish I could do it again someday.

Extremely interesting! I’m a culture junkie and I love learning about other countries and their customs, Japan being one of the top countries I love learning about. Thank you for the lesson!!

So glad I watched this! I have plans to crochet (かぎ針編み) a koi scale pattern kimono and there was loads of info that will help with measuring the pieces to fit me perfectly - like all the "length of index finger" measurements. I'm 6' tall so following a pattern for an average woman's kimono size would probably look a little small on me.

I tried searching google in both English and Japanese to see if anyone else had crocheted a kimono before but could only find stuff like amigurumi geisha, which is not exactly the same scale as a full adult size piece. It's going to be a fun challenge!

So amazing! Just getting dressed is an art form. I was under the impression that it took the help of another person to get dressed in kimono. It was fascinating to watch them do it all by themselves.

This was amazing! I knew the differences in yukata and kimono, but it’s nice seeing how they are put on, and the differences in the fabrics and designs. This was fun to watch. :)

I really like the yukata in kimono style. Sadly, because of a handicap on my foot, I can't wear socks... Neither the western ones. Thanks for this awesome video and I really love, how you wife and her friend, are answering in Japanese. Beautiful explanation

I enjoyed this video so much! When I was an exchange student in Japan I had the opportunity to wear a kimono and it was amazing to see upclose the craft of putting on a kimono and obi. It felt amazing and so luxurious. Although it is quite tight, it felt very comfortable and cozy.
I also have 3 yukatas that were gifted to me and I feel sad that I barely have an opportunity to use them.
Thank you so much for your content!

The everyday things such as cooking, fashion and use of household items tells us so much about a culture and where it came from. Thank you for teaching this.

I wish I had everything needed to wear my kimono. Its an awase kimono made of cotton. I found it in a thrift store for $2, but was never able to find the other parts to properly wear it. I improvise and it kinda works...

Very informative video. Using the proper terms and explaining the when, where, and how of Yukata and Kimono was helpful as the proper ritual of dressing was shown. The fabrics are so beautiful! Thank you everyone!
