Would you buy a house in Italy for 1 Euro?

You don't address the issue of residency/visas in this video. You can't just move to Italy (from outside Europe, including the UK now!) without getting that sorted also. i.e. you'll have to pass immigration checks/tests, showing you will have a secure income and pass the appropriate checks.

Crazy to think of the disparity in house prices across the world

Yeah the houses start from 1 euros . That doesn't include the super tax and other fees with come in around 9000 . Also you must renovate the property most are listed at 20000min so there 30000 before you start . However still would be better to live than the UK . And far better weather.

Mate, the cover photo of this video is very deceiving. That town in the Dolomites is an expensive tourist spot

Are any of these towns in northern Italy near a country with free colleges? Will they let people go across the border for school?

Genuine settlers who are moving to an area of the country with no opportunities. There’s a reason these places are abandoned. The Italian state cannot keep up with decline in the South, why would some randomer be able to suddenly move there and revive it?
Needless to say any business based in rural Southern Italy has bleak prospects even without getting conned by the Camorra or Ndrangheta into paying the pizzo

This has cheered me up - over 40s no value to society, will go get my noose ready now. Apart from that comment, lovely to see houses going for E1 euro. Good luck all, Italy appears to be a beautiful place.

Argyll had a similar scheme to encourage young families here. Rent rebate, cash grant and relocation expenses!
Not sure how it went🤔

Great, I am 59 and seem to be of no value. Now I know why I can’t get my Residency visa renewed.

"€1, 000 per child." I'm reminded of the phrase we use in the animal world, "adopt, don't buy." We have millions of displaced persons who could benefit from this deal.
