@Deeper Network - What's your logging policy? Many VPN (and now DPN) companies offer protection from ISPs but log your data; basically replacing one spying entity for another. This is always my #1 question when it comes to these services.

If there are no servers where is the traffic exiting the tunnel? DPN sounds an awful lot like we all become exit nodes for other peoples traffic.

Ok cool, but I have a few questions
1. Why can’t this be achieved using just a desktop app or raspberry pi instead of a proprietary box in order to expand reach of the protocol
2. Is it possible to choose what country I want to appear from?
3. Is an app required to be downloaded or will it be optional if you want additional options such as location choice
4. How does this affect latency for things like gaming, can I turn it off if I need to for certain devices?
5. Does the device only work when you are at home or does it also work when you are away?
6. Is there a way to limit how much data other users use on my network, I could imagine this being a problem to users with data caps.
7. What is the price of this product?

I have to disagree with the video. It is definitely NOT P&P! You'd be an idiot not to change the password (username can't be changed)! Plus there's 4 or 5 other things that should be changed, like adding Tunnels for one thing. Mine didn't have my own country, nor the two georestricted ones I look at sites in. Not the company's fault. They can't know where they're all going. I'm just saying it's not gonna be "zero config".

The web setup is a hard to see pastel blue (pastels are terrible for that sort of thing) and it has bugs, even in my "Nano" version, like giving me an error on a password change when it actually did take it and the little vertical sliders on pull-down menus disappearing if you don't get to them within a second.

Also, the tiny guide doesn't tell you its IP and it's not on their web site. There's zero support (no response to email either).

Now with all that said and that they need to get to work on setup bugs and support docs, would I buy it again? Yes! It does seem to work (I tested georestrictions and had no problem) and once you get to know what the bugs in the setup are, you can get it set the way you want. I did have to unplug the power cable to reboot (button in setup didn't work) and it took a couple of minutes to come back online, but that's fine. :-)

Anyway it seems to be working fine and I do still use a trusted VPN, but not at home as that defeats the purpose. I just use the VPN on my phone when I'm not at home and might connect to another WiFi. At home I just use this DPN.

So while they can technically call it "Plug 'n' Play" since it is possible to connect it and use it, I don't really think they should and should instead stop assuming every buyer is an engineer. Heck, I'm even writing up basic instructions (including the bugs) on my blog! :-)

Can this be used for torrenting without issues? Some VPNs do not allow torrenting or advise against it.

Or deploy your own vpn for under £50 on a router running custom firmware (pre installed)

So why would anyone pay £299 for this hardware vpn?

this device just for block ads on browser on pc and laptop, and the connection when u want open youtube its very slowly, also if u buy the deeper connect mini gen1 its has sd card!! yeah the atom Os on the sd card and if theu formated it or not working anymore u lost the device anyway the sd card very slowly also, the better way to block ads and vpn private for free is oracle cloud its free tier always and u can make ur vpn with adguard for free and u can find, more videos to do it. don't waste ur moeny
