Keeping up with the ongoings in my collection, I have decided to revamp the Bits-n-Bobs-n-Surprises series by giving it a new name, Orchidpotpourri. It sounds nicer and shorter, and a little more classy, befitting for an orchid collection. In this video, I am potting up a new orchid, that I received from #GroรŸrรคschenerOrchideen, and another beauty that arrived in my collection from Fernanda Nascimento Orchids and Succulents (link to channel below). I am also repositioning an Epicattleya because she has decided to grow new growths in the opposite direction of where I had anticipated her to grow.
*Correction to pot size conversion: 15cm does not equate to 15,9 inches, that is a typo, for which I apologize. The correct conversion is 5,9 inches. My apologies!
I really appreciate the fact that you took the time to watch my video. I am very open to any comments or questions, this video may have brought up. Feel free to ask away and know that I will get back to you as soon as possible! Also, if you have any suggestions that you would like me to address in a video, mention them in the comments below and I will be happy to film a personalized video under the series 'Subscribers Inspire'!
If it is the first time for you, on my channel... Welcome!! Consider subscribing for continued insights into my orchid growing journey, I would really appreciate it :)

Enjoyed your dedication to your orchids on this one Nina. We all take care and repot our orchids in several different ways and although I do mine unlike you do yours I have to admire the hard work and time you spend taking care of your little pets! Take care enjoy the Sunday.

What a bunch of cuties. Looking forward to seeing these cuties in bloom. Love the intro to the new way of doing this series and the new name. A bunch of tips and tricks that you shared in this video is exciting as I can get some of them to try on my orchids. You are an awesome orchid grower. Have a great day and enjoy your outdoors with a glass of wine.

๐Ÿฆ’๐Ÿฆ’, the wind is gone at least momentarily and the sun is back ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ. Isn't that wonderful? I watched your video earlier but other things came up before I could sit down to watch it again and make a comment. I love watching your repottings, there is always something to learn from you. Hope they all do well and give you much pleasure in the future. Myrmecocattleya should start new roots from the psb grown this year. I have just taken a look at mine as I was watering and that is what mine is doing, several roots 1 cm long coming out all around my psb. They are so cute Yours maybe still settling down and adapting.
Happy saturday gardening in your orchid paradise my lovely and wonderful friend. Sending you a bunch of warm hugs !!!!

The back spot on the Phal could be where a root tried to push through but didnโ€™t quite make it. Iโ€™ve seen similar marks on occasion and when the leaf eventually came of there was an aborted root underneath. Hopefully thatโ€™s all it is ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

Great repots! I hate it when you pot up a plant and it grows in the opposite direction you expect it to grow. My Lc. Supersonic 'Striking Lip' was growing all weird because I potted it up crooked initially and didn't bother to fix it. It's somewhat fixed but now it's kind of hovering over the pot. I'd probably have to cut the roots to make it fit nicely but it hasn't bloomed for me yet so I don't want to disturb it.

Hi Nina! ๐Ÿ˜‡๐ŸŒบ. I always feel better after a report. Hehe ๐Ÿ˜. "They're old but just tired!". That's me, still viable just tired! ๐Ÿ˜œ. Do you do the empty reservoir and lots of flushing for a wet/dry cycle to inspire root growth? Don't you wish that you could buy different leca sizes? I just got a new bag which was big size globs not balls. I find myself needing small balls around the base and having to pick them out. I just finished moving all the 'chids in the house. Shewww!! I'll sleep better now. It's been in the mid to high 50's (12.8-15c) at night here. Also wanted to ask what insecticide you use when soaking sheaths off with the microfiber?

umm, I do silly things like this all the time because my brain gets ahead of my fingers. You said 15 cm and put on the screen 15, 9 inches. 15 cm = 6 in. ๐Ÿ™‚
"electricity is very expensive here in Spain"
meanwhile, over here, people _think_ electricity is cheap. The consumer costs here are kept down through government subsidies. As it turns out, almost everything here is subsidized (directly or indirectly). Wonder what cost cutting measures congress could have made 40 years ago to reduce the national debt? Many of those subsidies were put in place in the 1930's and were meant to expire.
