After days of will she... or won't she,... we now have confirmation that U.S. First Lady Jill Biden will attend the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics.
It'll mark her first ever solo overseas visit since her husband took office in January.

U.S. First Lady Jill Biden will head to Japan this month to lead the U.S. delegation for the Tokyo Olympics,... but she will do so without her husband.
The couple led the U.S. delegation for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver when Joe Biden was vice president during the Obama administration.
The White House on Tuesday confirmed her visit,... saying it will mark her first solo overseas trip since her husband took office in January.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said last month that President Biden would not attend the Olympics,... but a delegation would be sent instead.
It's rare for a sitting U.S. president to travel overseas to attend the Olympics.
In 2008,... then-President George W. Bush became the first U.S. president to attend an Olympics abroad,... when he visited China for the Beijing Olympics.
No U.S. president has made a visit since.
Former president Barack Obama did not attend any Olympics during his time in office,... including the Winter Games in Vancouver and Sochi,... nor the Summer Games in London and Rio de Janeiro.
Delegations were sent instead,... with then-First Lady Michelle Obama leading the delegation for the 2012 London Olympics.
Former president Donald Trump sent a delegation led by then-Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, to the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea.
His daughter, Ivanka, attended the closing ceremony.
