I started listening to Lex because he has an impressive list of guests, but I lear in time that he is just a western puppet, incredibly that he asked Dave to say and make clear that "Putin started the war" so weak, and he makes the most stupid and childish arguments

It's crazy how the Chinese or Russians overthrowing the Mexican government analogy isn't used more, I've been saying it from the start. But if that did happen we wouldn't have waited 8 years, it's the perfect analogy and for those who say but they're sovereign countries, sure but they're still in the the sphere of influence of their more powerful neighbors.

You can blame Vladimir as much as you want, but go back in year 2000 when that same person openly wanted to enter NATO, the answer was "Russia is to big to be a part of NATO". Speech in Munich in 2008 was the same one as 2014, but no one listened. At that moment he knew that Russia is the thorn in west countries eyes, and started making Russia as it is today, a half militarized country, but at least an independent one.

I disagree with Lex on this one. Strongly.

The West has invaded Russia twice in recent history. They were given assurances when the wall came down so to speak, that NATO would not expand east. Of course, the West did it anyway. And this hot frogging of NATO expansion eventually reached their line in the sand, Ukraine.

Let's do a hypothetical.
Indonesia and the Philippines join the China protectorate. It then expands to Micronesia, then Argentina, then Brazil, then chili, Peru, and Columbia. We tell them under no conditions will you be allowed to include Panama in your protectorate. And they do it anyway.
Then comes Guatemala, El Salvador, etc.… The last remaining country is Mexico.

This is the situation with Russia. There is no reason why Russia and the United States need to be enemies. Just simply look at a globe. In fact, we have a lot to gain by cooperation with each other, rather than competition.

Ukraine is Russia's line in the sand. So I disagree with Lex, yes Putin invaded, but he had very little choice unless he was going to let Russia be the chump of NATO and Europe.

Every person, and every country has their limit. That point of no return, we're now rational decision-making becomes existential.

So who do I blame for the war? I blame the Biden administration. They handled this like morons.

To quote Bob Dylan,

The above is what the Biden administration did to Zelensky. They gave him incredible confidence, and poisoned him with words, to such a degree that he had zero interest in any sort of peace deal.
Well, he bet on the wrong course, and lost.

Ukraine now needs to either make peace, or they lose it all.

And folks can blame Russia all day long, but this has been forced upon them for decades, and Ukraine was their line in the sand. The Biden administration incompetently handled this.

That was uncomfortable to watch. Lex making sure to say over and over again that this is all putin's fault, while ignoring all the things that led up to the war is absurd.

Wow... Lex was outgunned here. As with most of us when we try to discuss with emotions rather than rationale he came up short, BIG TIME, to the opposing arguments.
