I've been programming in unity for 7 years in a row, but every time I need to do scroll view I go to this video - because of shitty counterintuitive unity GUI implementation which I can never figure out myself. Thanks a lot man.

really appreciate this.
one pro tip which took me HOURS to figure out: it's essential to set the vertical position of your content window BEFORE you child it to the object with the scroll rect. Otherwise, no matter what your anchor settings, the vertical position of the content window will move relative to the viewport, causing weird scrolling behaviour
I also had a pig of a time with the mask. I kept getting my content window 'overrunning' the viewport.
