Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, A tale of a fateful trip. That started from this tropic port. Aboard this tiny ship....

Now remember... if you are stranded on an island, always spell out an SOS as large as you can!

.... and of course remember what a nice little island it was ....

2020 has really sucked, so hearing a happy-ending news story was really nice for a change!

Sooo grateful these 3 were rescued and still hanging in there with us. ..stay safe, all!!

Satellite autonomous programs that are capable of reading an SOS shape while doing what they do daily and alerting authorities. Great idea!

Absolutely loving all the Gilligan references in the comments 😆 That show was great! Glad you guys got rescued sooner than them.

Actually they were trying to spell out "SOL", but Gilligan messed up the final letter.

If Maryanne or Ginger was the Island, I don’t think I would want to be rescued 🤔😜😍

Pikelot Island, part of the Caroline Islands, is a low coral islet, with forest and scrub, is home to a seabird rookery and turtle nesting site and is only 450 metres long. And is North of Papua New Guinea.
The three Micronesian sailors were reportedly sailing between the atolls Poluwat and Pulap, a journey of 42 kilometres, when they veered off course and ran out of fuel.
A Micronesian patrol vessel, FSS Independence, is heading to the island to pick up the men.

“...passengers set sail that day, for a three hour tour, a three hour tour...”

Thank God they were found. I can’t imagine what it must’ve been like to be completely separated from society and having no way of telling anyone where you are and what happened to you. Leaving everyone absolutely Clueless.

Okay, I think this is a good reason to have emergency supplies (food, tent, satPhone, Medicalsup) placed on secluded islands. We are in an age where this is possible. As to which agency would do this the coast guard, the military or the government, i don't know.

Those anchors make it sound like they had Monkey Butlers and Coconut Martinis on the island.

These news ppl talk like putting the "SOS" message in sand to get rescued is something new. Show them how to make a fire for survival and watch their heads explode.
I wouldn't have been surprised me if they said, "Why didn't they just call someone?"

With the way the world is going today....if it were me and there was a fresh source of water on the island, I’d delay writing that SOS for at least a couple of months
