I am watching Dhruv Rathee from last 7 years and i was a big fan of him until I started preparing for UPSC after my graduation ....only then I have got the ability to know what is right for my counrty and what is wrong and then after some time, I Found that Dhruv Rathee Used many of Psychological Techniques like Gaslighting or One sided facts manipulation and I stopped sending his videos to my friends and family members.

1. He can make 2 videos on Manipur but can't make 1 video on Sandeshkhali.

2. He can make videos on Electoral Bonds Scam but can't make a single video on Liquor Policy Scam.

3. He can say that Modi is a dictator but he can't see the dictatorship in West Bengal.

4. He can criticize Modiji but can't speak a single word on the manifesto of CPI M in which they stated to reverse the judgement of the Supreme court by bringing article 370 back. And this clearly says that the opposition doesn't want a stable Kashmir. So CPI will not follow the judgement of the Supreme Court too? They will make India weak by scrapping all nuclear weapons despite tension between China and Pakistan.

5. He cannot see the minorities of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh coming to India as per CAA but can see Rohingyas coming to India.

6. He can criticize Modiji but can praise Atishi Marlena who clearly said to vote for the goons of SP but didn't vote for the BJP candidate, in her speech.

7. He first criticized WhatsApp as WhatsApp University but can make a WhatsApp channel.

8. He will support Congress making freebies without asking a single question of whose money Congress will pay to freebies.


10. No word will come out of his mouth in a drought-like situation in Karnataka.

11. He says he is a Hindu but he in his own video criticized Hawan which is a sacred Hindu Ritual from Ancient times.


13. He will say that Ram Mandir is Jumla and will also make a video on Ram Mandir after its inauguration.

14. He will first say in his interview that he doesn't believe in Ramayana and Mahabharata but will make a video on Ramayana on account of Diwali.

I'm not a supporter of Dhruv, but I have a point to make. If Dhruv is making videos on the India alliance, that's seen as a severe problem. But let's look at the numbers: his videos get around 10 million views on average. Now, compare that to TV channels that continuously manipulate public opinion in favor of the BJP—these channels reach over 500 million viewers in India. So, if Dhruv is being called out, what about the influence of these TV channels?

If Dhruv is a small player in the manipulation game, think about how much bigger the BJP's influence is. This is the problem with the public's perception in India—they're quick to catch on to Dhruv's 10 million viewers but seem oblivious to the 500 million people being swayed by TV channels. This kind of widespread manipulation is what you could call a precursor to a dictatorship.

That's why I will support Dhruv, because at least through his efforts, some people are becoming aware of the dangerous manipulation by the BJP. It's crucial to have alternative voices, even if you don't agree with everything they say. They provide a counterbalance to the overwhelming influence of mainstream media, which often goes unchecked.

People need to understand that while Dhruv's reach is significant, it's a drop in the ocean compared to the vast influence of television channels. By highlighting the manipulation happening on a larger scale, he brings attention to an issue that many might not even realize exists. The bigger danger lies in the unchallenged narratives pushed by these TV channels, which can shape public opinion and policy in ways that are far more pervasive and insidious.

In supporting Dhruv, we're not just supporting one person—we're supporting the idea of a more informed and critically thinking society. We need diverse perspectives to safeguard against the monopolization of information and the potential slide towards authoritarianism. It's about ensuring that the public has access to multiple viewpoints and can make more informed decisions based on a broader spectrum of information.
