This guy DOES NOT MAKE $20k per climb. Tower climbers are lucky if they make $30 per hour. BTW, this guy works for Sioux Falls Tower and Communications and his buddy had just gotten a drone, so he let him film him climbing a tower. The video subsequently went viral and the misinformation started. God, when are these videos going to end? Everybody just taking what’s said in a YouTube video as gospel.

This tower is no longer standing, and fell in a wind storm on may 12, 2022 and reports say the tower was only 1, 565’ tall was for KLDT analog tower. The digital tower is on the other side of Sioux Falls in Rowena and yes it is 1, 999’ AGL

This is bullshit. I already saw this exact video in 5 with different titles. With payment range from 20k to 120 k. No one will pay you 20k for one climb. It's bullshit. I searched the whole internet trying to find that job. And it doesn't exist. They got paid 30$ per hour... For 20k, I would climb with a smile on my face.. I did a way dangerous jobs for way less money...

He just doesn't. It might cost 20k per climb for the company (Insurance, The Light, Hourly Wage, etc.) The person doing the climb might make at most 1 - 1.5k. depends on tower height.
