The Incredible Hulk - Caravan of Garbage

The Incredible Hulk marks the second entry in the MCU with also the lowest box office return. Bringing on Edward Norton for his brief stint as Bruce Banner this incarnation is leaner, meaner, green...greyer and mostly forgotten despite some of it's elements eventually bleeding over into the wider universe. All in all this can safely be categorised as a movie we've reviewed on Caravan Of Garbage.

My headcannon for hulks hair is that just like the rest of banner’s body, it grows, so when he turns into hulk, it gives an explanation for why his hair is all messy and shaggy

I like this version of the Hulk. Hated that people kept ignoring this film after Mark Ruffalo took over the role. I'm glad that elements like the general, Abomination, and other characters are getting a second chance to shine in recent films and shows.

This is one of the best MCU movies especially pre Avengers. But honestly I feel this Hulk will return in the future, Bruce is just suppressing him.

Yeah, the whole thingy about his hairstyle not matching when he transforms into the Hulk is really bothersome and irritating...😖👎🏼💯✔️

Instead of calling it a requel they should of just said Soft Reboot. Which means the same thing. Its kinda a sequel but we've slightly changed the surrounding events. The avengers also is a soft reboot for the incredible hulk changing his actor & slightly changing the story.

Take this hulk and the embarrassment of the hulk we have now.
Look at them both. And tell me what hulk is better looking and shows real strength and makes people happy.

The best part of this movie is in the beginning, when Norton is hiding in Brazil and he is speaking Spanish with that guy in the factory. The Simpsons, back in 2002, taught us they speak Portuguese in Brazil, not Spanish, so...yeah! Great job there.

One of the best scenes that even refers now to Captain America brave New World joke is when that guy takes the super soldier serum and General Ross is like look he’s doing it
All he was doing was managing not to die
Which is pretty much all Steve Rogers could do
So that pretty much leaves falcon relying on dumb luck
There’s really nothing any of them can do to harm the Hulk
All they can try to do is survive

I love how they clearly edited out Maseo saying "Um actually from it's X-Men Three The Last Stand" @ 18:46 but kept in Mr Scumb Bag saying X-Man 2 still

To play devil's advocate, apparently Marvel didn't have a plan during phase 1 per se so Norton being involved in the production might have been needed. Jeff Bridges talks about how him, Favreau and RDJ had to basically work and write scenes minutes before shooting Iron Man because Marvel just expected them to turn up and figure it out.

My headcanon for the mcu and for comic book movies in general is that when they change an actor in a sequel, they are different universes where everything is the same except for the fact that the recasted character(s) looks different in the different universes

I think the thing that makes Edward Norton’s Hulk better than the others is that he looks like a gigantic man
In the other couple of iterations, it seems like his forearms are the same size as his biceps, and his quadriceps are the same size as his calves
It makes him look fake, no matter how good the CGI is
And this one he just looks like a person who transforms into a gigantic person who happens to be Green
