I certainly hope he’s on the path to becoming a believer, but from what I’ve seen, he leans very heavily into New Age spiritualism. To him, Jesus is probably just one of many great teachers. I would still say his profession is a step in the right direction, but it’s too soon to be certain about his state of belief.

I was Christian before, and I found God because I had suffered. And lost my faith due to suffering. And then we lost. Our baby passed in the womb stillbirth last year, and I was angry at God, and I blamed him. My husband and son were broken. I feared I would lose my husband to dark thoughts, and I refused to allow this. Due to my suffering, my son and my husband are getting baptized, and I am joining them too. My husband accepted God into his heart and life because he realized he couldn't do it alone. I thank Jim Carrey has testified. Give him props. Jesus is an everlasting thirst. He will continue to thirst for Jesus. He has saved my husband, and he has shown my son has great faith at 10 years old, and he has redeemed my soul. He isn't finished yet. I trust in him more than ever before. And I know he holds my Lily. I know Jesus is holding my Lily.
Lily has been gone 207 days. And my heart is so full with gratitude for the Lord.

"Suffering leads to Salvation" may have something to do with his struggle with depression, but the idea of suffering is connected to an influence that Buddhism has had on his life. Jim regularly practices transcendental meditation. Regardless of his spiritual beliefs, he is one of Hollywood's finest actors.

I had a dream about Jim Carrey in 1997 that he was going to be saved. I told a friend of mine whose pastor had connections in Hollywood--she told me that at that very time Jim was attending Tim Storey's Hollywood Bible study, which I had no idea about. He surely had not shown evidence of becoming a Christian in the years since then. But I pray that he finds the truth of Jesus soon. (I recall that there was some Asian lady involved in his salvation, if I remember the dream correctly.)

This was years ago. No he hasn't professed faith in Jesus in the sense the of the question we're asking. Though it does indeed seem he’s warmed up or has become more open minded towards Christianity, and gleans off of aspects of the faith, he hasn't yet put his faith consciously in Jesus as lord and savior unto following him. I think Jim could very well be on a good track, even being receptive to God's call, but I don't see evidence that he has become a believer of the gospel/a disciple of Jesus, or even so much as had a real encounter with the living God, though I'm sure he has had various spiritual experiences in his own school of thought.

Something has been happening to Jim Carrey as of late and it's nothing but good. I saw a lot of hate in that man and I in turn decided to dislike him rather than pray for him.
