Onboard China’s C919, a Boeing and Airbus rival, completes maiden flight after 1st delivery

China's first C919, homegrown passenger aircraft, was delivered to China Eastern Airlines on Dec. 9. The plane took a short flight from Pudong Airport to Hongqiao Airport, both in Shanghai. It is designed to one day challenge the dominance of Boeing and Airbus.

Boeing has shown that, if plane makers or the regulator did poor job, passengers may lose the life. It is the intelligence of the people whether they would prioritize safe trip or cheap trip. For those who respect the life, solid safety record is the most meaningful advertisement.
