Stihl FC91 Edger Quick Review. Straight shaft or Curve Shaft Edger? Today's video shows the Stihl FC91 I used for over 3 years. It have never failed me, curved shaft works best if you need that crisp cut you can only get from a curved shaft. Blade speed is the key. Straight shaft is for torque to go through hard ground like compacted clay or other. I have been using gator blades on the edger on day 1, it holds up and will provide that crispy look.

Just purchased the same edger. Guess I'm getting weak, it's heavy! The shoulder strap helps me trim longer. Not too used to the straight shaft. Used less than 2 hours so far I guess. On two acres, new constructed home about 7 months old now, with two fences, a dog run and a garden. Guess the more I use it, the more easy it will become. Great video, thanks!

I bought an older used one for 120.00 it has the metal blade cover on it. I wondering I can put the newer style head in it like you have on it.
