Basically, you’re simply saying it’s better than nothing and better than other options.

Calling the fumes generated “not the most environmentally friendly process” is such an euphemism

Burning tires and making that into electricity can make a wheel difference in the world and I am glad it's being done. Thanks I am here all week.

"Yaay free electricity"
"Aww we can't breath"

this is just awesome. so many people complain that landfills are bad and throwing things away is wrong and yet they never offer a solution but, these guys have a solution that is practical, doable and beneficial. this idea has my full support.

What kind of emissions are released from the burning of tires? Those tires could be used to make new tires.

People in the comments are way more toxic than those tires.

Why TF would you burn the tires into the atmosphere. Recycle the rubber & reuse it for other things needing rubber.

this is one of the things they need to make more recyclable. tires can pop, get slashed or just need replacement often.

Use them shredded to add to new road pavement to make the road more elastic.

Or, use them as the foundation under newly paved roads or massive pothole repair.

So...lets have a look what they are saying on their own website:

“Our facility has the capacity to recycle 20 thousand tons of tires that have completed their lifespan to the economy, rather than being buried or sent to the landfill every year. Waste tires coming to our facility are not burned. We do material recovery with the process performed in an oxygen-free environment using our facility's own patented technology without burning it. We contribute to the economy by using the steel wire we recover from tires in the metal industry, pyrolytic oil in electricity generation, and the solid parts in carbon black production, which is used in paint and cosmetics. Waste tire enters the facility, all components inside are recycled and it becomes zero waste. "

Aydın (CEO) stated that they can produce 5 thousand megawatts of licensed electricity per month and 60 thousand megawatts per month from the 4 generators in the facility, saying, "In our facility, the electricity of an average of 20 thousand households is produced from the recycling of waste tires and both imports are reduced and the product that goes to waste is brought into the economy, with zero emissions."

my conclusion = "prejudice is not good!"
