What Happened to Bee and Puppycat

The show from 2013 finally has a full Netflix release. But how does it compare to the old series? Is the charm and humor the same? A little bit of yes and a little bit of no. But the real question is, how much have they expanded on the original series?

I can just about quote every line from the pilot episodes. After watching the first episode of the Netflix adaptation I went back and watch the pilot. I know the first 3 episode from Netflix was nessary for new ppl but I still like the YouTube one

I started the Netflix series and I couldn't help comparing it to the original. They re-recorded some lines, and they were the same lines, just slightly different sounding and I was too used to loving the original sound 😅 I'm trying to finish it, but yeah, so far still liked YouTube more. They also like mixed the two seasons together, it looks like. I'm hoping it changes a bit after the first few episodes, I can't keep comparing them.

I too was initially disappointed in the netflix adaption of Bee & Puppycat but have come to love it all the same. The art has a dreamier aesthetic and the dialogue is quieter, making it the coziest show to fall asleep to.
The youtube and netflix versions are each amazing for different reasons and I'm thankful we get to have both.

This is my favorite cartoon ever. I really hope we get more of it ❤

the youtube episodes are golden. top tier. beautiful, whimsical, cute little nuggets of charming silliness. the netflix episodes have a completely different pacing, sense of humor, and storytelling. it feels like a different show all together

VRV* should have been so much more. I got it back in 2017 after hearing about it from a friend. We got Frederator, NickSplat, Rooster Teeth, Funimation, Crunchyroll, Hidive and more for $10.00. It was too good to be true for a min😭

I HATE the netflix adaptation with a passion man. They changed dialogue in the first season and made it much more juvenile and annoying. Like they tried to aim it more at children instead of young adults like the og yt series. Buut overall im glad Natasha was able to make her own show. I saw an interview where she admitted to being super nervous when pitching it. Im supportive of all the Adventure time writers/artists branching out into their own stuff. Natasha allegri, rebecca sugar, jesse moynihan…i love them all.

I actually found bee and puppycat through my 3DS video share app, certain videos would be posted there weekly with “bravest warriors” “bee and puppy cat” and this one song about flys taking your food, the one line I still remember from there to this day is “you took too long.. now your candys gone WHAPOW”
