Check out this outstanding rally between Adrien Mattenet and Par Gerell at 2015 ITTF World Tour, Czech Open that went for an incredible 91 shots.

A perfect example of attack v defence!

Still amazes me every time I look at this one. Incredible how Gerrell is able to hit it so many times with the same power. I'd have been done after 10 smashes😁

Mattenet is known for his defensive abilities. Opponents know he can be a nightmare to play against. You only need to watch the 2011 World Championships where he played Chuang Chi Yuan. Mattenet prevailed. But this match probably displayed Mattenet's finest display of defensive TT ever seen. Not to mention he has the best backhand in the game.

Gerell kept hitting with almost the same rythm, making returning the ball easier. Could not have he tried some variations like drop short or 滑板？

Is anyone going to upload other matches such as the quarters to the final? The match between Karakasevic and Shiono also seemed like a great match, and Gerell vs Mattenet was spectacular (based on that one long point and the deuce in 7th result).
