I have been following as a christian the Sheikh Imran Hosein for a long time especially to crosscheck on the eschatology from a muslim point of view. He has always been trying to be very honest upon Jesus and he has always called for the junction between christians and muslims against the evil forces.
I have a great admiration for Sheikh Imran Hosein as it needs a lot of courage to express this type of point of view amongst the uma.

I am a Muslim and I must admit that the words of the Sheikh seems reasonable. Who ever told me that there was a different man on the cross? I just assumed it, but the Quran doesn’t state it. Muslims just believe that and I actually don’t know why.
Their argument is that Jesus was innocent, but that means that God placed another person on the cross to make it seem like Jesus to us, but that would be unjust. I think a lot of Muslims just believe other peoples story without reading themselves. I never read this verse and thought about it. That is my mistake

It's quite confusing to me how Muslims read Muhammad's life and then Jesus' life and say I want to be like Muhammad and not say I want to be like Jesus. Jesus is Lord of all and God and King I pray that my Muslim brothers and sisters will see it too one day
