Just wanted to add Orange High school’s chamber singers were part of the Chapman College choir because they needed younger looking faces since we were supposed to a HS choir.

Beautifully sung technically but (deliberately imo) lacked the feeling of Joy. For a choir this good it must have been difficult to reign it in like this to make the "winners" believable. Kudos to these guys.

They sang it beautifully however their St Francis version really made the audience feel energetic that’s how you should feel when you hear gospel.

You guys are comparing 2 completely different singing styles! The Orange County Choir performed this in a much more traditional style that would be sung in an Anglican, Methodist or Presbyterian church. The St. Francis choir performed in a more gospel/soulful style. Honestly, as a musician, it would be a very tough call, as I appreciate BOTH styles of music. 😉

That's about 1/3 the size of my high school choir. Our selected chamber choir is about the same size and we'd decimate Grant.

As far as i'm concerned this group won. Frank-ay's flip was risky and he could've broken his neck. The st.francis group had gimmicks but this group sounded more majestic.
