Egyptians began casted their ballots during the second of the two-day ballot, which acts as their first vote since ousting of Egypt's former president Mohammed Morsi in early July. The draft is not only expected to pass, buy some say it may pave the way for a presidential bid by the army chief General Abdel Fattah al-sisi, the man who led the ouster of Morsi following widespread protests against the Muslim Brotherhood leader. The referendum, which is viewed as much more secular than Morsi's, continues a fierce crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood party. Security forces have killed over 1,000 pro-Morsi demonstrators since the ouster and imprisoned thousands of backers of the Muslim Brotherhood.
