"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" Jeremiah 29:11. Sadly, those who follow their thoughts will miss out on Revelation 22:12. Christ humbled Himself in obedience dying on Calvary's Cross to redeem us from sin. Sarah took things into her own hands. rather than trusting the Lord, she decided she had to fix what was broken. And it cost her and her husband dearly.

You have to understand Sarah, she was dealing with the pain of not being able to bear children, not being able to give her husband a child, and now another woman who was able to do that for him thinks she's better than her! Insult to injury, is what that is and I could see how she became resentful of the servant Haggar. Haggar was not very kind.
