Really don’t get the hate of this car. People need to understand that company’s evolve. You can appreciate an older design and have innovation as well. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. If anything it makes the older designs more special. And this car is beautiful

crazy car! They nailed the design in every way possible. Really like the somewhat simple and straight forward walkthrough of the car! Kind of feels like where standing there with you holding the camera.

GT55 fully loaded is $182k CAD and GT63 is $222k for the same spec (not including the $12k ceramics only available on the 63 making it $234k). As far as I can see the only difference between the models is the tune. Same aesthetically, same interior, same engine setup, same suspension, same driving modes, etc. $40k just for a tune is a bit wild. GT55 seems like the one to get, and surely there will be aftermarket options to get the GT63 tune if u really want it.

I really like these and, yes, I prefer the looks over the previous generation, although the earlier car's dry sump (and lower engine) and rear transaxle were "purer". One thing, the headlamps are not the same as the a bit more aggressive looking in my opinion. A great car and I'd take one over a I'd take an Aston Martin Vantage (or DB12) over the AMG. Fantastic car though! Great video, thank you.

My friend has the old amg gt and the new one looks better and is alot more updated features wise. 4 wheel drive now and the back seats. Standard pan roof now. Interior has taken a huge leap forwards aswell. Its a contender for sure. And you talk about daily driver. 100%. My friend is a managing director and often drives to head quarters of the business couple times a week sometimes more. Its 65 miles eachway so a roundtrip of 130 and he ALWAYS TAKES THE AMG GT and he says it comfortably handles it. Leaving his more practicle and comfortable bmw x4m competition that could easily do those 130 miles roundtrip to hq with ease.

I think this is a bit like the G8X platform when it first came out, it will take time for people to grow to like this car. I also think they will depreciate a lot so when they're around the 120k mark it might make more sense!

Buy a second hand Lusso for a lot less. Better sense of occasion and that can be driven everywhere and everyday. Engine noise a lot better as well.
