Malaysia Transport Minister Anthony Loke on VEP enforcement

Since Oct 1, 50 Singaporean drivers were issued warning slips for not having applied for Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) tags, according to Malaysia's Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

When asked about the lack of a timeframe in enforcing the VEP requirements, his reply was: "The moment we give a certain timeframe, they will wait until that particular date...only then, they will do the application." #sgnews #singapore #malaysianews #malaysia #johorbahru #johor

I also know your behaviour. Don't want to admit failure and lose face.

Don't talk nonsense. You gave a specific date (1st Oct implementation) because you said otherwise SG people wouldn't take it seriously, but your side cannot process due to the overwhelming response. Don't blame others for your inefficiency.

it's amazing how he can twist and turn, with excuses, why this don't work. I watched all his videos on TikTok, this latest is a lame excuse. Simplify your process, that's it.

Warnings and reminders should be given to their vep office, it's their problem, not us Singaporeans

I completed the VEP application process on 6/9/2024, money paid and was told that RFID sticker will be arrived within 10 working days. Till now, I am still waiting. I emailed them but received no reply.

Malaysia or mine problem.

I registered and got my VEP tags for two cars back in 2019, which is due to expire. Imagine, the double or triple hassles I need to endure for this clown show of a system.

How we wait until last minute? Apply now also takes at least 6 months to approve bro 😂

TCsens was given the lucrative VEP contract without any public tender by the former Transport Minister. People then questioned its experience and expertise.

This guy talk like Singaporeans owe him a living. This guy know their own system cant handle the workflow and staffs cant even support the process . He just hide elsewhere where his buddies in JB, like dato onn have to clean up his bullshit ..😂

Up to now, he hasn’t addressed the technical glitches of TCsens. Its website is still down. He keeps on talking about enforcement and the need to register quickly. How to register when the website is down? This kind of Minister who doesn’t know how to look for solutions. No wonder MAS is a failure.

Anthony Loke's also the one who downgraded the capacity of the RTS, because of course, I understand they prefer to manage the trains themselves
