the only problem here is that this now allows you to edit the cells that you have the filter option on... so it's not really practical

Can you help me, I have protected sheet with auto formula set for say 2000 rows, and when I filter, all 2000 rows are hidden, I want only data rows to be filtered just as there was no formula. Is there a way to filter that way?
