I used to think being impatient was a weakness…

Last month I was too impatient to wait for my clients' final revisions before uploading the content online so what did I do…

I decided to make some tweaks on my own and upload the content. And guess what? That’s right…

I had to re-upload the content again.

Why?

Because I made revisions for the client that they didn’t request, resulting in wasted time re-editing and re-uploading.

Just a few weeks ago I was too impatient for a client to send me some music options so I could finish up their video content….

So what did I do?

You guessed it.

I went ahead and chose what I thought would work best for the campaign. And guess what happened next?

The client didn’t request a single change.

As a matter of fact, they loved the video telling me, “Oh I couldn’t even imagine it coming out this good, we love it!” What could’ve taken multiple revisions and weeks to close out was done in a single day because I took initiative and action rather than waiting around.

It was then that I realized my “weakness” had become my greatest strength. While most people operate out of fear of what might go wrong I operate out of confidence that I will figure it out.

I don’t delay.

I don’t need anyone to hold my hand.

I’m not impatient.

I’m a go-getter who takes action and adapts as he goes. What you see as a flaw may be your greatest strength with a simple shift in perspective and beginning to better understand yourself.

What’s a trait you previously thought was a “weakness” that you now see as one of your greatest strengths?
