I feel like if this guy wasn't doomed to go back into coma, he and House could have been good friends.

I don't know about everybody else, but it broke my heart when he said "I'm okay with pain".

"Tell him... I don't know what to tell him."

This. Out of all the scenes I've seen of this show, this broke me the most. In most other shows that would have a scene like this, the dad would have some profound message to pass on to his son, something the screenwriters spent a good few hours coming up with to make sure it hits that perfect emotional note. But exactly in him not being able to come up with something, it breaks this feeling that its just a TV show and makes it feel real for a moment.

When he said “Wilson… get out” I wanted to cry when Wilson said no. It hurt so much because he knew exactly what house was about to do

This is one moment even House feels bad. There is no lie, no angle, no selfish gain, just the father wanting his son to live, no matter what the cost. Its one of those moments that breaks even his emotional walls of cynicism and detachment.

Every episode is basically the same template but every episode is so unique.

this show did flirt so hard with the moral gray zone it´s unbelieveable

At the end, House could've told the son the truth, that his father didn't say anything. This is one of those moments when you can see how kind House can be but I wonder what made him say that. Maybe he had his own father in mind.

Bottom line is that the message really did not matter. What mattered was that there *_was_* a message.

Two legendary comedians from two very different countries showing just what they can do dramatically, hell of a thing to see.

best dad. he knows that hell just be a vegetable after his 24 hours are up and decides to save his sons life instead of living on as a veggie. BEST DAD.

I love the look on Cuddy's face when she hears House say, "I'll think of something eles, " she knows but doesn't want to know.

It was almost sweet, what House did in this episode. Wilson even helped him with his alibi.
Good stuff

I love how if you watch Wilson leave he grabs the cane, slipping it under his jacket. Cane is there one second, gone as he walks by. He already had a plan to create an alibi for House.

The father is so selfless. It made me tear up a little. He is what every parent should strive to be. I would gladly give up my life so my children can live.

Nearly cried when house said he would have wanted to hear his dad said that he was right, he did the right thing. Such a relatable character even if your not in pain/ on drugs
