I'm thinking about buying a cap like that too.
But isn't it a hassle in everyday life to always look for a clean place to put the lid at the petrol station without it falling off?
With the original cap, the key stays in place and the lid folds up, you don't have to put it down and there is no dirt at the bottom lid and maybe later in the tank.

Saves 5 seconds at the gas station, but allows anyone to pour crap in your tank when you park and leave the bike unattended. People do that just because they can sometimes.

I don't like that the cap comes completely off, and not connected to the base via a hinge or some other way (chain?). I can imagine dropping the cap and it rolling around on the ground while at the gas pump. That is going to happen eventually.

It's such bs that the cap doesn't come in green. Such a popular color and they don't make them in green, but they make gold ones which are probably not a common color on the bike.
