Who’s ready for a UK vs Italy showdown!?

Mat’s lining up in the McLaren 600LT and he’s about to face off against a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ!

Now on the face of it, you may think this will be an easy win for the Lambo. After all, under the bonnet, you’ll find an almighty 6.5-litre V12 that can put down 770hp & 720Nm of torque! What’s more, it’s also equipped with AWD and isn’t too heavy, tipping the scales at 1,525kg.

In comparison, the McLaren is ‘only’ packing a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 600hp and 620Nm. It may be lighter, at 1,404kg, but it’s also only equipped with RWD!

Surely the Lamborghini is going to obliterate the McLaren then, right? There’s only one way to find out for sure - LET’S RACE!

I had to rewind the video seeing how well that 600LT shot off during the first drag race; truly mindblowing levels of grip & traction control. SVJ is a beast but you can't ignore the level of engineering that went into McLarens.

really nice drag race this morning. considering that the svj is pretty much the best lambo has to offer and then see that mclaren is just the 600lt kinda speaks for itself. I really like the editing work to make such a funny story out of that gopro fail. keep it up!

Of all the 3 round drag races in this series, I am pretty sure this was by far the closest match-up: both cars are neck and neck for the most part. Superb!
