The National Weather Service has issued a thunderstorm watch for Genesee, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties until 1 a.m.

Metro Detroit is lucky weatherwise compared to many places out west.
Temperatures have hit well over 100 in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and California.
Denver has been right around 100 degrees.
