As a new become Catholic, what bothers me is not only what the Pope has said, but that priest that I love and come to look up to. Have not spoken up for Christ and the truth. But rather defend the Pope. This is what makes me sad not angry. All the saints I have come to look up to would have spoken up.

Let’s put forward Islam as an example. In Islam, Jesus is not divine. He did not die on the cross and he certainly did not rise from the dead. To believe so would be heresy under Islam. Now, in Christianity, to believe that would be heresy. You can’t have both! So I’m sorry, I find it hard to buy that Islam would just be another “language” to get to heaven. The very foundation of it is heretical. Anyway, I’m just gonna pray for the pope.

It’s pathetic some Catholics trying to justify the pope. He has made a mistake and we should pray for the Holy father. He is being given the authority over the world’s largest church to not cause confusion, but to be the biggest warrior for faith in Christ. Also, his personal opinions aren’t something which we need to protect to support our faith.

The verbal gymnastics defending his statements is amazing. This was a good time for him to present the Gospel to this audience but he failed miserably cause he was more worried about pleasing man then pleasing God. What a failure of a leader.

Thank you for putting up on YouTube to explain Pope's words spoken during an Interfaith dialogue last week in Singapore's Catholic Junior college.
I am a Singaporean Catholic, I fully appreciate what the Pope said last week. I hold close to Jesus' teaching; I also respect other's freedom to faiths and believes. I try to understand and build trust among my brother and sister in other faiths. I evangelise by living my live well, with charity, with care for the marginalised, upright and responsible, love my brothers and love God more than anything Singapore have practiced this system of Religious Harmony for the last 59 yrs since independent. The result show by itself. We have Mosque and Church built side by side along the same road. We have Chinese Temple and Hindu Temple, Church and Muslim Mosque built in close proximity of each other. The Singapore citizen live side by side with each other (different faith, race) in harmony. My immediate neighbours are 2 Hindu families. Our Faith should bring unity, peace and goodwill, it should not be a source of animosity and war!
Our Faith, my Catholic Faith should be an enabler for Peace, for Harmony, for Love and for the wellbeing of my less fortunate brothers and sisters!

SINGAPORE – Pope Francis on Friday wrapped up a three-day visit to Singapore by declaring that “all religions are a path to God”.
“They are like different languages in order to arrive at God, but God is God for all, ” the Pope said, who had set aside his prepared text and spoke largely off the cuff. “Since God is God for all, then we are all children of God.”
The Pontiff made his remarks during a interreligious meeting with young people held at a Catholic junior college, just prior to departing Singapore for his return flight to Rome.
