Dracula 1931 was an absolute masterpiece! The addition of Philip Glass musical score makes the two in marriage of virtues!❤️❤️❤️

I always loved this film. It was the mood that fascinated me, not the plot or the story so much. I thought that probably nothing could make it more real. I never imagined that it could be so enhanced. And then I discovered Philip Glass.

Bela is the reason why we love vampire movies and his legacy still lives on to this day

I recommend that anyone who loves this score acquires the Universal Monsters blu Ray's (8 film version). It has tons of bonus features and one of them happens to be the original film but with this score!!

This is perfection, I wish I could see this, at least once in my lifetime. I have seen Philip Glass & Tim Fain at the opera house in Dallas, it was bewitching.

Few people know that the 1931 version of Dracula was released both as a 'talkie' and a silent version. The late 1920s and into the early 1930s was the time that film transitioned from the silent era to sound film. While theaters in urban areas quickly added sound systems, theaters in rural areas lagged behind. Since it took time to get all theaters equipped for sound, the movie studios produced movies both with and without sound. I've seen the 1931 Dracula sound version with the Philip Glass score superimposed over it and quite frankly it doesn't really work. However, it's quite effect when used with the silent version.
