Watch That Man : Lulu 1974 7' B-side featuring David Bowie and Mick Ronson

Originally the opening track of Bowie's 1973 'Aladdin Sane' album. This version was recorded by David Bowie and Mick Ronson, who also play on the track, during Bowie’s sessions for his ‘PinUps’ album in July 1973. The line-up features the same band that played on the ‘PinUps’ album, including Trevor Bolder, Mike Garson and Ansley Dunbar. This is the B-side to 'The Man Who Sold The World' A-side - in the good old days of 7" singles :)

So glad Bowie and Lulu got together. David, as usual, knew where to find true talent.

As good a performance that Lulu ever gave. Totally superb. Good choice David !

Never knew this existed. YouTube throws up some surprises. Good one.

I have to say personally Lulu makes a good job of many Bowie tracks. However As I understand it Bowie was very generous with other artists and well deserved such a successful career. R.I.P David.

David's vocals seem mixed down too low on the Aladdin Sane original version,
This was recorded during Pin Ups sessions and Lulu's vocals are great though and well up in the mix, but Mick's guitar and other instruments seem a little mixed down instead perhaps?

And I thought nothing could possibly top "To Sir With Love." Clearly, I was wrong.

Good version but could have faded out a minute earlier.
