Solace for Shattered Dreams is a expressive duet between Cretan Lyra and Clarinet featuring cajon, darbuka, and bendir for percussion and the trusty foghorn. Very happy to have collaborated with Alexandros Lyra, a phenomenal Cretan Lyra player who has some really exhilarating solos on this track.

The song is an original composition largely but is a tribute to recently deceased Cretan Composer and Lyra Player Nikos Skevakis whose song Ligi Parigoria Zito, serves as the main melody for this song. The song is an ode to the journey for seeking solace after dreams are shattered and the duet between clarinet and lyra represent this dichotomy between shattered dreams and solace.

I have been studying composition with 2x Grammy winning classical composer Herschel Garfein, Middle Eastern clarinet with Ismail Lumanovski, duduk with Arsen Petrosyan, Hindustani saxophone with Oded Tzur, and aulos with Callum Armstrong.
