- In this Abstract Acrylic Painting Demo you see me working intuitive and adjust my plan as I go.
This painting video will be a great starting point if you need help getting started with abstract painting.

I'm starting with a wet base, this way I can keep working with the acrylics and they won't dry too fast. I use the first layer to determine my composition and flow, before using the other colors. As I progress in the painting, I keep an open mind and adjust my plans as needed. I let the painting "talk" to me and guide my decisions.

This is the 4th painting of my new series: 'Evolve': Abstract Acrylic Painting combining brush work and fluid paint to create interesting lines and a botanical look. I'm titling this artwork 'devotion', because during this creating I felt my true devotion to this style and my artwork.

Creating art has taught me to be open and flexible. I use the same basic techniques for each painting, but also discover new approaches as I go.
