Some may complain that this sounded nothing like Toby, but it's not supposed to. Toby was a one of kind country artist and certainly a tough act to follow for anyone trying to do their own version of his songs. Jason used his own styling here and it seems he purposely toned it down from an upbeat song to somewhat of a sad song. But very appropriate since it was after all a tribute to a legend in country music who's life was tragically cut short. Toby will be missed. Hard to believe he's not with us anymore.

My first thought, was how respectful it was. No flashy performance, just about Toby. So respect, love, and miss him.

This was a tribute truly fitting for Toby. Jason took his song and made it his own, didn’t try to sound like Toby but put a spin on it musically as well as how he performed it. All the life size pictures of Toby through out his career, ending with one of Toby and Tricia as well as Toby and all of his family said all that needed to be said. I cried the entire time, especially seeing the genuine tears from his children and Tricia. If it didn’t touch anyone else, it touched their hearts and that is what counts. Loved how he simply said..love you Toby as he came to a close. Thank you Jason, for helping to soothe our hearts during such a difficult time. Toby I am certain was well pleased and honored.

Beautiful tribute. We all lost a country music legend. It’s still hard to admit several months later for me personally.
