So the lads and I indulged ourselves with some acid the other day and during the drunk prelude on my patio, one of us literally caught a fly mid air by it’s wing. This ruined the poor fly’s wing so he was basically donezo at that point. We ate some mango earlier that day and the peel was still on my table so we put this crippled legend on the peel so he could engorge himself in a delicious meal before his time ended. We couldn’t kill it at this point or it would’ve ruined our trip but we wouldn’t dare to commit such a ruthless act anyway.
After billy had his fill on the peel he climbed his way onto the top my succulent named Job and just chilled there with us while we listened to some top bops and watched the sunset.

What a way to go. Imagine you’re a fly living on the west coast and of all the ways your tiny life could end, you are spared by colossal titans, you get to feast on a delicious foreign fruit, listen to some incredible shoegaze, watch a dazed sunset, and hang out with 5 absolute top blokes.

Glad to see more people recognizing shoegaze. I've been gazing for about 5 years now, and tbh many great japanese bands were missed in this playlist but you got lots of good ones. ;).
Everyone who is unfamiliar with shoegaze, just listen. Its entrancing, and you will fall in love with it right away. just get lost in the gaze. Its a whole underground music style, and every country seems to be perfect at it lmaoo.
Anyway, I welcome you to the genre.


more bout japanese shoegaze in my experience:
one of the more popular groups: きのこ帝国 disbanded early 2019, their music is worth checking out, though its got less of that shoegaze vibe.
my favorite japanese group: 死んだ僕の彼女 they pretty cool


theres korean shoegaze, spanish, japanese, usa, england, literally everywhere mkay!
and for starters, one of the most recognized bands is My Bloody Valentine.

I highly suggest the band 揺らぎ(Yuragi), their music always gives me flashbacks of all my best memories, especially their song "Path of the Moonlit Night" too bad YouTube does not push them to our recommendations.

If you dig the music, there are plenty of non-japanese shoegaze bands too (although japan arguably has some of the best). Shoegaze has been a thing since the late 80s.
