Important Clarification on the video: this video was narrated from the "Call of Duty Dev" perspective and IS the reason why Warzone 1 was actually deleted and sunsetted. My own perspective is that they should've figured out a way to build on Warzone 1, but it wasn't in the plans -- they had plans to change Warzone to "Fireteam" on Cold War in 2021 and decided to pivot to integrating Cold War and Vanguard into Warzone because of its success. I miss Warzone 1 and think it was the best version of the game we had, and if we built on it, it would be interesting to think about how far we'd be now.

Warzone 1 was when my life absolutely peaked, coming back from school and hopping on warzone for hours, oh how I yearn for those days

I still prefer to play wz1 even if it doesn't get updated the graphics, smooth gunplay and movement will still keep me playing for hours

warzone 1 during M4 mp5 meta, pre cold war integration was so good. every kill was so satisfying, getting a squad wipe with a C4 on a car, or leaving a C4 on a heli (I was that guy) or using the thermal on the HDR, the map, the memories, how could they ruin such an amazing game?

for people who really miss warzone one, there is a mod for the Modern Warfare 2019 that turns the game into Warzone 1, the mod is called the MRON mod.

The demand for wz1 is staggering. Surprising they have not pivoted yet, given how much money they leave on the table.

I will only start playing Warzone again if they add that game mode respond with your weapons and you can die infinite times and still be able to spawn in with your loadout, (only if they keep it and Stop adding it in and taking it out)

As a guy who hasn't played warzone 1 I feel like the bugs and hacks really add to the old feel of cod so just bring it back

Even if it comes back it won’t be the same Fortnite tried it with og Fortnite but it still didn’t have the same feeling, but atleast we had fun during 2017-2018

The player down sound affect on wz1 was satisfying i didn’t care about the hackers and the meta was relatively balanced those were the days 😔

I got glitched one time and i got into the warzone 1 menu i could matchmake but it wouldn't load in
